Good Morning Smoothie

Every morning my husband and I make smoothies for breakfast.  The sustained energy and protein {from oats, seeds, coconut, fruits, and vegetables} we get from the shakes keeps us full until lunchtime. Starting off the day with such a healthy breakfast, helps to motivate us to eat well all – day – long.

Smoothie, Please!

Here’s our standard recipe:

1/2 cup blueberries

2 carrots

4 stalks of rainbow swiss chard

1 orange

2 bananas

1 cup raw oats

1 T coconut oil

1/4 cup dried coconut

3 T chia seed and flax seed blend

2-3 cups water

{this recipe makes 1 blender full of shake – 2 glasses per person}

Smoothies are an incredible antioxidant boost to start your day!
